www.WNYLaborToday.com – Western New York’s Regional Labor News web site.
A little more than a year ago, WNYLaborToday.com was created to give Labor Unions and their members a unique and first-of-its-kind Labor News and Media Vehicle to spread an informative and positive message. WNYLaborToday.com has become the place where Unions and their members are now going to 24/7 to get the latest in news involving Organized Labor and the Working Men and Women they represent from across our region – from Niagara Falls to Buffalo to the Southern Tier. Its mission is to focus in on the positive contributions Organized Labor is making across our many communities, ranging from the beneficial results brought about by Labor-Management Groups to the many charitable and non-profit involvement Unions and their members are intertwined with. It’s also the goal of WNYLaborToday.com to educate the elected and business communities, as well as the general public, of the worth of working with Organized Labor in order to turn our region around, and what can be realized if all work together.
Those Unions who’ve come forward to support the growing Labor News Web Site currently combine to represent more than 100,000 members across our region. During the past 13 months, WNYLaborToday.com has published nearly 400 news stories on Organized Labor. Plans are now in the works to redesign the site into a regional Labor Newspaper – complete with Labor News feeds, a Labor Blog, and Editorial and Photo pages. The re-launch of WNYLaborToday.com is slated to occur on Labor Day weekend.
Teamsters Local 375 is asking our members to take the time to visit WNYLaborToday.com in order to get information and news on Organized Labor that you won’t find anywhere else here in Western New York.
With the negativity surrounding Organized Labor, which is being blamed for every problem facing the Western New York, New York State and American economy, it’s refreshing to visit a site that provides us with a new, different and positive form of news coverage on who we are, what we do and how important we are to the Western New York community. WNYLaborToday.com is working with Organized Labor across WNY to not only provide that positive counterpoint to the current negativity regarding Unions and their members, but work to make a real difference as we all continue to strive to make our region the best it can be now and in the years to come.
